Abstract: The seventh volume of the European Journal of Paediatric Dentistry opens with some news.
The European Academy, that jointly with the Italian Society (SIOI) managed the publication of this Journal in the past, decided to withdraw from the agreement. As a consequence, the publication is now the official Journal of the Italian Society of Paediatric Dentistry alone, and the Academy will publish another magazine: European Archives.
We wish success to the new journal, which increases the number of publications focusing on Paediatric Dentistry published by national and international associations in English and national languages. Scientific news and information, thanks to the increasing number of publications, are made more and more readily available for the benefit of child’s dental health.
As Editor Emeritus of the European Journal of Paediatric Dentistry I was asked to manage temporarily the publication of the Journal and so I will try to carry on the job of Martin Curzon, former Editor in Chief, who put great efforts in order to secure the high standards of the Journal.
The Editorial Board was also renewed, and my name is the only Italian one that appears in it. All the members of the Editorial Board are well known representatives from Belgium, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain interested in Paediatric Dentistry. Each one of them will support our editorial policy to open these pages to the contribution of researchers and dental paediatric clinicians all around the world.
